The North Brookhaven Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society!
The Harbormen Barbershop Chorus has sung great harmony throughout Long Island since 1968. Based in Stony Brook, New York, the Chorus has 40 plus members from nearly all walks of life who enjoy camaraderie while entertaining many.
The Harbormen perform throughout Long Island at a variety of venues, such as county fairs, Long Island Duck’s baseball games (pictured above), N.Y. Islander Hockey games, Dickens’ Festivals, Christmas tree & menorah lighting ceremonies, public libraries, nursing homes, hospitals, Veteran’s homes, Islip MacArthur Airport, Brookhaven Town meetings & events, H.S. Class reunions and memorial services. The Harbormen Chorus’s local community project is the Good Shepherd Hospice at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY. The Chorus's two fund-raiser programs during the year are Singing Valentines in February and the Annual Concert/Show highlighting our "Best in Barbershop."
Membership in the chorus is open to all male singers. Knowledge of music is not necessary. The Chorus meets every Monday evening at 7:30 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall at 380 Nicolls Road, East Setauket. Visitors always welcome. For more information contact:
